Harsh Environment USB 3.0 Connection System

Amphenol Socapex USB 3.0 Connection System provides the ideal solution for data transfer in harsh or demanding environments. The USB 3.0 field bus has the same form and fit as the standard USB 2.0 but will reach 10x the speeds transmitting data at up to 5Gb/s. This system is sealed against fluids and dust (IP68) and offers improved EMI protection. It also resists shock, vibration, and traction. The metallic plug is connected into a receptacle, using a tri-start thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibration applications. Amphenol Socapex USB 3.0 Connection System allows users to quickly and reliably transform standard telecommunications and data communication mediums into rugged, military, and industrial connectors.

Rugged USB Solutions

Amphenol Socapex Rugged USB Solutions are designed to perform in the harshest environments, maintaining an IP68 seal against fluids and dust. Rugged USB connectors allow the use of a standard USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 cord set into a metallic plug to protect it from shocks, dust, and fluids. The series does not require cabling operation, or any necessary tooling, in the field. Amphenol Socapex Rugged USB Solutions feature Tri-Start threaded coupling to prevent the plug from backing off of the receptacle during high vibration.
