Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs)

Mitsubishi Electric Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) are a type of power device with multiple chips combined into one package, including power chips using IGBTs and their driving circuits, as well as a variety of protection circuits. Variable frequency inverters are widely utilized in motor control systems to use energy more efficiently. There is a growing demand for IPMs with lower power loss, higher output volume, and smaller package sizes. Mitsubishi Electric IPMs include the L1, L1A, L1B, V1, and G1 series. With rated voltages of 600V, 650V, and 1200V, these IPMs are ideal for industrial equipment and renewable energy applications.

G1 Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs)

Mitsubishi Electric G1 Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) offer low power loss and high performance in a small size. The series features a 7th-generation IGBT with built-in functions that contribute to inverters with enhanced energy savings. These modules are packaged in a resin-insulated metal baseplate, eliminating the solder-attached section. This package design increases the thermal cycle lifetime and improves inverter reliability. Mitsubishi Electric G1 IPMs feature an automatic switching speed control and error detection function, reducing inverter loss and design time.
